Gyeongju Meditation Retreat: Schedule and Practice Guidance

We are looking forward to the Gyeongju Meditation Retreat from Sept. 29, 2024, to Oct. 2, 2024. Currently, we are expecting around 20 participants. We expect the space will be tight. Also, about half of the participants are Level II meditators. With that many Level II meditators, the energy in the room will be electric! As much as we are excited about meditating with such an accomplished group of meditators, caution is necessary.

If you are relatively new to meditation or have health issues, you may experience headaches. Such a phenomenon is called meditation headaches and can be serious. If you experience a headache while participating, please refrain from further meditation. If you continue, you can have a chronic headache every time you want to meditate. Therefore, it is best to stop meditating immediately and wait for a few days to a month until the headache clears before meditating again.

We will also be meditating five to six hours per day, which can be demanding for new practitioners. If you experience any bodily pain, please stop meditating immediately. Otherwise, you may sustain injury. If you have any questions, please text me via the Band Chat.
