Seeing Desire

Although I am uncertain about my life without desire, I am determined not to be its slave. With courage, I confront this dilemma. To understand my desire, I observe my feelings. Three kinds of feelings emerge when I encounter anything or anyone: pleasant, unpleasant, or neutral. Pleasant feelings are linked to desire, while unpleasant feelings often stem from unfulfilled desires. This means that unless all my desires are met, I am bound to experience the weight of unpleasant feelings. It's unrealistic to expect all my desires to be fulfilled all the time. Moreover, my desires are constantly evolving, making them a moving target.
