Origin of My Desire

I understand that my unquenchable desire is the root cause of either pleasant or unpleasant feelings. So, where does this desire come from? Has it been there since birth, or was it taught by others?

As I look back to my early childhood, I can clearly see the emergence of desires for necessities like food, warmth, play, and attention. These were the basic needs that I instinctively craved. However, I also noticed a shift in my desires, influenced by environmental factors like my parents' guidance. In addition, as I grew, I piled on more and more desires of my own. This evolution of desires, from basic needs to more complex and nuanced ones, is a fascinating aspect of human nature.

In a sense, I see that desire fuels life, always wanting more. So, I have been in a perpetual dissatisfactory state since early infancy because it was never sufficient, and there is always room for more. This perpetual nature of desire is intriguing!
