NBEF is a U.S.-based non-profit entity. When a corporation or any business entity that operates in the United States requests instruction for its employees or designees, we expect and accept donations in return. Because a business entity is not a sentient being and exists solely to generate profit, there is no basis for offering free service. All such donations are made directly to NBEF—not to the Dhamma teachers—and are used exclusively for the charitable and educational purposes of the organization, in full compliance with U.S. non-profit law. To avoid potential complications arising from differing tax laws and regulations in other countries, NBEF provides instruction without fee only to individuals—and not to any business entity—when operating outside of the United States.
